Emergency Response Protocol
Your child’s safety is our number one priority.
The Brewster Central School District-Wide School Safety Plan was developed pursuant to Commissioner’s Regulation 155.17 by a team appointed by the Board for this purpose. The team consisted of representatives from the Board, the student body, parents, teachers, administrators, school safety personnel, and other school personnel.

In the event of an emergency, school officials may take action to safeguard students. Known as SSHEL responses, the actions that may be taken are as follows:
BEARS Protocol
BEARS is an acronym for actions that can be taken during a Lockdown in order to increase survivability during an active threat inside our building.
